1. Who we are
Global Quizz (globalquizz.com) is a service of NIVOHOME LLC, 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. For anything about your personal data, contact us at support@globalquizz.com.
2. Who this policy covers
- Teachers who create an account.
- Students who take a test, follow a lesson or play a quiz game that a teacher gives them. Students do not create an account.
- Visitors to our website.
3. What we collect
About teachers
- Account details: name, title, email address and password (stored only in a scrambled, hashed form).
- Profile details you choose to add: school name, city, type of school, levels taught, phone number and the header printed on your papers.
- Your work: classes, student lists, tests, lessons, quiz games, results and reports.
- Billing: your plan and its status. Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Your OpenRouter AI key, stored encrypted. We only ever show its last 4 characters.
- Technical information: IP address and basic logs, used to keep the service secure (for example to limit repeated sign-in attempts), and AI usage records (which model was used, how long it took, how many tokens).
About students
- Full name, class and class number, and a student code if the teacher uses one. We do not ask students for an email address, a phone number or a password.
- Answers, marks and feedback for the tests and lessons their teacher gives them.
- Voice recordings, only when the teacher uses a speaking activity in a lesson and the student chooses to record.
- Classroom signals during a test or lesson, such as leaving the page or switching apps, so the teacher can supervise fairly.
- For Fun Time games: the nickname the student types and their game score.
4. Why we use it
- To run the service: create and give tests, lessons and games, mark answers, show results and print papers.
- To manage your account, your trial and your subscription.
- To keep the service safe and working, and to answer your questions.
- To meet our legal obligations, such as keeping accounting records.
We do not sell personal data, we do not show ads, and we do not use student work to train AI models.
5. Students and schools
The teacher decides which students to add and what to give them. For student information, the teacher (or the school) is responsible for it, and Global Quizz handles it only to provide the service to that teacher.
Many students are under 18. We collect only what a class needs (a name and a class number), there are no student profiles, no ads and nothing public. Teachers should follow their school's rules and make sure students and parents know the class uses Global Quizz. A student or parent with a question can ask the teacher first, or write to us and we will help.
6. How the AI is used
When a teacher asks the AI to write, import or mark something, the content is sent to an AI model through OpenRouter, using the teacher's own key.
- For marking, we send the question and the text of the student's answer. We never send the student's name or code.
- For importing, we send the document or photos the teacher uploads.
- Voice recordings are not sent to any AI.
OpenRouter and the model provider handle this content under their own terms. The teacher can see and change these settings in their OpenRouter account.
7. Who we share data with
Only with the companies that help us run the service, and only what they need:
- Hosting and database (Supabase), where accounts, tests and results are stored.
- Payments (Stripe).
- AI (OpenRouter and the model the teacher chooses), as described above.
- Email delivery, for sign-in and password emails.
We may also share information if the law requires it. We never share it with advertisers.
Some of these companies store data in other countries, for example in the United States or the European Union, so your data may be kept outside the country where you live. We choose providers that protect data properly.
8. How long we keep it
- While your account is open, your data stays so you can use it.
- Teachers can delete students, classes, tests, lessons and results at any time, and they are removed from the service.
- When an account is closed, we delete its data within 90 days. Backups are cleared within a further 30 days.
- Billing records are kept for as long as accounting law requires.
9. Security
The site uses HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, AI keys are encrypted, and each teacher's space is private: other teachers cannot open it. Test and lesson QR codes change often, so an old photo of a code does not work. No system is perfect, but if a problem ever affects your data, we will tell you quickly.
10. Cookies
We use only the cookies the site needs to work:
- a sign-in cookie that keeps a teacher signed in;
- cookies that keep a student's place in a test or lesson on their phone;
- security cookies.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner to accept.
11. Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it for a purpose. You can also ask for a copy of your data. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the rights given by the GDPR, and people in other countries have the rights given by their local data protection law.
Write to support@globalquizz.com from your account email. We answer within 30 days. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.
12. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. For important changes, we will tell teachers by email or in the app before they apply.
